Here it is! My 5 tips for a game changer morning routine that I am trying to maintain. A good morning routine can positively influence the quality of your performance throughout the day. Make it your calm ritual before the day jumps in and charge yourself with energy.
Let’s start with number 1.
Have a cup of your favourite drink
But take a few minutes to just enjoy it in silence! Make it right after you wake up and allow yourself the pleasure of drinking it peacefully. While doing that embark on number 2:
Start your day with an uplifting read
30 minutes of reading in a quiet atmosphere is honestly the most powerful activity that I could recommend for a morning routine! I started doing that e few years ago and I am trying to do it every day, because after this my day feels so much more complete. Of course this requires an early wake up, but if you do it, I guarantee that you would feel great and you will want to do it again (I know every minute in bed counts like an hour in the morning, however give it a try 🙂.
If reading is not your thing then find something else. Spend half an hour every morning doing something you simply love. 🙂
All of this concludes my number 3:
Offline morning time
Don’t look at your phone in the first hour in the morning. Your day will be full of phone calls, emails, texts, social media and loaded with agitated activities, meetings and rushing around. So sit back and charge yourself with calmness and be present. Forget about tech in the first hour of your day.
Honestly, I am struggling a bit with this one, because I tend to open my phone while I am in my bed and browse. However, after that I leave it for about an hour and still have my quiet time.
Go through your daily plan
Now it is about time to start looking at the rest of the day. Check out your calendar, your most important activities and highlight your to-dos. A revision in the morning is great for a smooth day to follow.
Stick to your wake up time
People are most productive when they wake up, because they are fresh and ready to embark upon a new fruitful day.Waking up at the same time every day ensures that you will maintain a successful morning routine. Your body becomes conditioned to the time you wake up and regulates your sleep patterns according to that. So everything is possible! If you have a strong will and desire to do it, you can because you will get used to it. I am a morning person by heart and my personal goal is to wake up at 6 every single day, but I am still working on it. I want to have a boosting morning routine that will make me feel accomplished even in the first hours of the day.
Relish the beginning of each new day!
