The most difficult question, right? What is your personal style? How can you describe your style with several words? Are you thinking about what your style says about you?
Style is not only one’s clothing and fashion appearance but it is a manner and a way to convey your personal message through your look. Style is not only attire, it is the way you talk, move your body, walk, style is your posture. What people don’t realise nowadays is that they are trying to dress trendy and fashionably when all they have to do is dress with style. Style is the courage and the creativity to pick out the right clothes for you out of all the fashionable trends out there. Style is a replication of an individual. It might also be described as a way of communication, making a statement about yourself not with words, but through your clothes. Moreover, you can either attract with your style or you can push away. You can evoke feelings, emotions, inspirations through the way you are dressed up.
I don’t think that a person’s style could be described or defined with several words, at least I can’t describe mine in this way. What I can say about my style of dressing up is that it definitely changes. I love experimenting and I am becoming more and more brave to try out outfits that are more sassy and unusual. I can also say that my style changes with my age. When I was younger I never dared to wear more attractive and unusual outfits as I do today. I also dress depending on the occasion, not depending on my daily mood. I can’t define my style with words like most people are trying to – ‘Classic and elegant’ or ‘Casual and chic’. However, I can categorize it. I came up with several options that do not define or describe your style but classify it.
Then what is your personal style?
Less is more
You are quite minimalistic and trying to keep things simple and sophisticated.
You put together unusual clothes and accessorise to make yourself stand out.
A personal stylist is a person who will advises you on new fashion trends, clothing styles, colours and make-up. A personal stylist is not to be confused with a ‘stylist’ whose job it is predominantly to manage fashion photoshoots for leading fashion labels.
A personal stylist is concerned with an individual rather than a particular fashion brand. With the recent rise of fame for celebrity stylists like Trinny and Susannah and Gok Wan the general public have heightened their interest and awareness in understanding the theory behind achieving styles that suit them. Personal stylists are now addressing this demand and serving the general public who view the service as a luxury but a beneficial experience.
There are a number of personal stylists all over the world and the numbers are growing steadily.
The United Kingdom has a growing industry of personal stylists, who offer style and fashion tips and image consultancy for corporate customers and personal use.
The fashion stylist is one of the most popular emerging professions in the fashion world globally and is the job title of someone who selects the clothing and accessories for published editorial features, print or television advertising campaigns, music videos, concert performances, and any public appearances made by celebrities, models or other public figures.
Fashion Stylists are often part of a larger creative team assembled by the client, collaborating with the fashion designer, photographer/director, hair stylist and makeup artist to put together a particular look or theme for the specific project.
Fashion Stylists perform the following tasks:

Select clothing for TV personalities, celebrities or the wardrobe for film or TV characters.
Source fashion items and props for photographic shoots or film/tv personalities, or product placement in fashion magazines/media.
Advise on photographic approaches and the selection of locations, props, clothing, models, makeup artists, photographers, hair stylists and the overall look for photo shoots.
Advise and direct the photography of items and clothing selected for promotion.
Liaise with fashion designers, retailers, the media, models/model agencies, photographers, makeup artists, hairdressers, beauty therapists, personal trainers and the media.
