Merry Christmas guys! <3 I hope you had an amazing time with your friends and families! Unfortunately, I was not home this Christmas, but I had a lovely time with my boyfriend and my friends in London, you can see some Christmassy photos on my Instagram account. So now it is time to think about what to wear on New Year’s Eve! This year I will be wearing a party dress, but I have put together this simple and warmer outfit to show you an alternative way to dress for the evening. I am wearing a cosy soft cream jumper and shorts from Miss Selfridge. You can make anything fancier by simply including some accessories, I decided to add a statement necklace from Topshop. You can also wear high heels to make it even more glamorous. Hope you enjoyed it, stay tuned for my outfit very soon! xx
For me, it is really emotional and inspirational to be at home. I love my home town Plovdiv and I am happy and thankful for having the chance to travel back home often. Plovdiv is a town of arts, with a great architecture, museums, galleries and so many creative people! When I am there I have lots of positive energy that always leads to new projects and ideas.
While I was in Bulgaria, I met a lovely young ambitious girl with passion for fashion and photography. Her name is Ina and she recently launched her blog The radiant cherie. She is the girl behind these lovely photos that we took at the centre of our home town Plovdiv! Take a look at her blog and welcome yet another Bulgarian blogger to the magical world of blogging. <3
My outfit today is inspired by the bohemian style or the so called Boho Chic. It is a style identified by the UK fashion media around 2004 and it is basically inspired by the bohemian and the hippie way of dressing. I totally interpret it in a certain way and my version is a bit different. I would say it is more modern and contemporary. However, I still keep some of the key items that are specific for the bohemian style.
The Boho Chic is all about oversized and baggy clothing, but also layered and comfortable. The look usually consists of a maxi dress or a maxi skirt. A typical element is also the pattern – one of the most usual theme for inspiration for the patterns is the ethnic style. To translate this idea through my personal style I decided to wear this beautiful printed smock dress by the brand Boohoo. Its floral and paisley print really reminds me of the Boho Chic.
This style is also all about accessorises – the more the better! I used a gold necklace and a multi pack of gold rings to finish my whole look.
Another key item for that style is the headband – one of the ways to wear them is across your forehead or a bit higher. I have used a normal braided headband because I thought it will make the whole look more subtle.
I really hope you like my transformation of the Bohemian Style and you learned something new for that way of dressing!
