While putting up this post I read a bit more about the French style icon Inès de la Fressange – the woman who represents Parisian glamour. She has been the face of iconic French brands like Chanel & Roger Vivier and she wrote the famous book Parisian Chic. I have to admit that I need to buy and read her book as soon as possible, my mistake I have missed it. Has any of you read it? I will be curious to know what your thoughts are – leave your comments on my Instagram @renetakanevska.
This photoshoot was shot while we stayed in Paris at the beginning of May. It is inspired by the words of Inès – mixing old and new, luxurious and cheap, day and evening. Remembering clothes are there to help you look and feel good, not to show off, because we are not hangers. I have always thought that mixing high street and high end is the key to having the perfect wardrobe. I am trying to keep this in my mind and never compromise on anything, I pick what I like and what inspires me to crate an outfit. My opinion is that we don’t have to be slaves of brand names, we have to use our imagination and experiment in order to create our own unique individual style.
