In this post I will tell you about my experience in the third-largest city in Germany – Munich. I have never been to Germany before and I had mixed feelings about what to expect in terms of sightseeings, food and culture. The truth is that I really liked it! This is why I am sharing this post with you in which you will see some of my favourite places and sights. I hope it will inspire you to put Munich in your list of wish-to-visit places.

It was a mixture between business and leisure trip. I had the big pleasure to make it together with my mother. Charged with full energy, we didn’t stop wandering around the city for a minute. First in my list is Marienplatz. Situated just at the center of the city, it is one of the places that really fascinated me. It definitely makes any pictures look stunning. If you are looking for a place for drinks, I recommend Hugo’s – you can find it near Marienplatz. The atmosphere is really nice and their signature drink Hugo’s is a must-try.
Talking about Munich, it is not possible not to mention the worldwide famous event taking place there every October. Yes, you guess it right – the Oktoberfest! The dates for the celebrations are known in advance and in 2019 it will start from 21 September (usually lasts a few weeks). I haven’t visited it yet, however, if you go – prepare for huge crowds. Overall, in my opinion, Munich is a very modern city where you can enjoy all kind of meals, drinks and activities – I heard there is even a place to go surfing!
48 hour trips
After my last trips to Rome & now Munich, I realised how powerful a two day trip can be in terms of emotions and activities. It leaves you with a rich variety of memories for a such a short period of time. The flights to Munich are also very convenient – Wizz Air has flights to Munich (Memmingen) every other day.
