What to pack for fashion week?

February 9, 2016

Combining business & leisure trip is just perfect. I am leaving for Paris, London and Milan! This is probably the most exciting trip I am going on and I cannot wait for it to happen. I am attending two fashion weeks and other events and I am also visiting friends on the way.  I am so ready and eager to see what this trip will bring to me and I will make as much as I can out of it!

I decided to put together a blog post and show you what I will pack for my trip. It is not easy to put together your stuff for nearly a month in a single suitcase. There are things you don’t need, but also there are some you shouldn’t leave without. When you are attending important events like fashion week you should carefully consider what you need to bring. Here is my suggestion on what is important to take with you!

I will start with the fashion accessories. When picking them you should choose the ones that can be easily combined in different outfits and styles. I mainly emphasised on statement jewellery and pieces that will catch the eye. Not to forget my Daniel Wellington watch that I am not leaving without! I love taking notes and writing in my own time. Having this special notebook and planner where you can write down some of your ideas from this experience is really important. In your own time you can always look back and remember something that made you happy or motivated you. Capturing the moments from fashion week is what stays with us for the rest of the fashion season. I use every opportunity to take a shot of something worth having and that will probably spark an idea later on. At the end, we are only left with the remarkable photography of the catwalks and streetstyle. Regardless of the limited space in the luggage, I wouldn’t leave without a book and a magazine to entertain me on the wild ride. It is crucial to bring a bunch of business cards with you everywhere around fashion week. You will speak to a lot of different people every day and you should keep in touch with them afterwards. You never know how and when you are going to need this person.

My final tip: When attending fashion week, take your time to enjoy this experience in the craziness around it. The hectic schedule sometimes kills all the pleasure of attending this event. Be present and experience it!
